Michelle is a mission-driven leader with extensive experience in organizational management, community-outreach, fundraising, and strategic communications. She has successfully built strong partnerships, increased community engagement, and led impactful programs that address critical issues such as immigration, education, and workforce development.
As the new Executive Director of Malta House, Michelle brings a wealth of experience from roles including Associate Executive Director at Building One Community in Stamford, where she led community-driven initiatives and was involved in all aspects of the organization. She has also demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and resource development in both the non-profit and private sectors.
In previous roles, Michelle spearheaded fundraising efforts, organized large-scale events, and developed communication strategies to drive organizational growth. She has a deep commitment to empowering underserved communities and has led efforts in health equity, including managing COVID-19 vaccination clinics for vulnerable populations.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies from Stonehill College and a Certificate in Leadership and Corporate Management from Harvard Extension School. She is fluent in Spanish and has a long history of volunteering on various boards and committees, reflecting her passion for service and leadership.
