As you may recall, as part of the "Growing for Good at Malta House" project, Middle School students prepared an outdoor vegetable garden that volunteers and residents of Malta House cared for.
Our vegetable garden is now thriving.
Thanks to volunteers Ally, Brian, Kathy, and Leslie, Malta House now has a new raised bed vegetable garden and a weekly gardening class for moms.
Despite the challenges of new gardens and the drought, our garden is producing!
We have lots of tomatoes and herbs, and soon we will be harvesting beans, cucumbers, and radishes. Recently, Ally and Leslie showed our moms how to make bruschetta and steeped a pot of mint tea (which we're told helps with digestion).
